UV CURING SYSTEM
PENETRATES WITHOUT OVERHEATING
WILMINGTON, MA – Xenon Corporation has introduced
a pulsed UV light curing system that can specifically match
the required footprint for demanding heat-sensitive, batch-
or continuous-process curing applications.
Xenon’s CoolCureXL® RC-801 Curing
System employs
pulsed
UV light to provide instant on/off control, fast curing
times, deep penetration, and cool operation; unlike continuous
wave mercury lamp systems. Ideal for heat-sensitive applications,
this system can be supplied with a new UV lamp designed
to precisely match the process and product requirements
and completely cure the target area with a uniform UV dose
as illustrated by the accompanying photo.
Preventing heat damage or where multiple
layers were previously required because of continuous wave
mercury UV curing lamps’ inability to penetrate deeply,
Xenon’s CoolCureXL® RC-801 Curing System lets
a user set the UV dose from 10% to 100% of max dose. The
photograph shows model LH-820 lamp housing that features
a “U” shaped lamp with a 10"x 3" footprint
for curing indexed batches of plastic bottles in a packaging
application.
